Re-Fashion Bash returns to Benton | Arts & Culture
BENTON, Ark. - Recycle Saline is hosting its second annual Re-Fashion Bash “Where Green is the New Black” Saturday, May 7th.
Re-Fashion Bash is an upbeat recycling fashion show highlighting Saline County students on the runway. They will walk the runway wearing trash that has been turned into treasure, showing off their fashion in hopes of winning top prize money.
The Benton Event Center doors will open at 5 p.m. and the show will start at 6 p.m.
There will be first ($500), second ($250), and third ($100) place prizes awarded to the top designers.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10.00. All the money raised from Re-Fashion Bash goes to the YEA! Team (Youth Environmental Ambassadors) program sponsored by Recycle Saline.
Some of the participating schools include: Pine Haven Elementary, Hill Farm Elementary, Springhill Elementary, Salem Elementary, Ringgold Elementary, Bryant Middle School, Bethel Middle School, Bauxite Middle School, Benton Middle School, Benton Junior High, Harmony Grove Middle School, Benton High School and Bryant High School and Harmony Grove High School.

Re-Fashion Bash's creator is Recycle Saline Marketing & Education Coordinator, Tiffany Dunn. The runway show is produced by LRFW Founder & Executive Producer, Brandon D. Campbell. LRFW alumni designers Jennifer Smith, owner of Ms Smitty and Lisa Jackson, owner of Lymelyfe Designs are mentors. During the fashion show, they'll be presenting clothing lines.Professional models participating are being provided from Oneofakind Talent Inc.

More about the YEA! Team
There are 25 YEA! Team programs, one in each Saline County school. The mission of the YEA! Team program is to provide awareness and education about recycling, providing recycling service for the schools, sustainability, volunteering, and serving in the community. YEA! Team members volunteer many hours in the community working on litter pick-ups and beautification of areas in Saline County. As part of the YEA! Team program senior YEA! Team members are eligible for a $1,500 scholarship. The seniors will be awarded their scholarship on stage at Re-Fashion Bash.
