Bryant now offers online pet license renewal

BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) - Instead of going through the hassle of renewing your pet's license through mail or making a visit to your local veterinarian, Bryant citizens now have the option of doing it online.

Obtaining a license tag for your pet is one of the easiest ways to ensure that your pet finds his or her way home, should they ever become lost.  A pet license provides much more information than an identification tag for animal control officials if your pet is found, especially if located after normal business hours.

"We are delighted to announce that the online pet licensing option is now available to our residents," said Tricia Power with Animal Control Director. "This portal will allow citizens to license their pets from home at any time, and they no longer have to come into the office on our schedule."

The cost to license a pet for one year is $5, and the pet must have a current rabies vaccination prior to licensing.  Pet licensing has been a requirement in Bryant for all dogs and cats, six months of age or older per *Ordinance 99-8. (*originally passed in April of 1999)

To access the new pet licensing portal, visit cityofbryant.com, and click on Animal Control. After purchasing their license, they will receive their pet's license tag in the mail typically within just a few days. Pet owners who prefer to conduct their transactions in person are still welcome to visit their veterinarian's office or the shelter to obtain their pet's license.

For more information about how to license your pet, visit the City of Bryant website, email tpower@cityofbryant.com or call Bryant Animal Control & Adoption Center at (501) 943-0943 and press 4.
