The THV11 Digital Marketing Team, powered by Gannett, will answer these questions and more during a unique digital marketing seminar on Thursday, February 27, at The Center at Bishop Park in Bryant.  Unlike others, this seminar will help businesses gain detailed insight into reaching their overall current goals and understand how digital marketing can build their business locally.

The seminar will be held from 12 to 1PM with lunch provided.  The cost of the seminar is complementary for Chamber members or $100 for non-members. Each business will receive a comprehensive FREE digital media audit for their business.

Extras needed for film shoot in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Extras are needed for a film shoot in LR on Saturday, January 25th, beginning at 10am. This will be for the movie teaser trailer for the Romantic Comedy WITH YOU, and we are in need of as many people as possible. This will be a non-paying role. Information is below:

WHERE: Junction Bridge over Arkansas River on the LR side (the one behind the Rivermarket- the old railroad bridge)

WHEN: Saturday, January 25th beginning at 10am (expected to be completed by noon, at the latest)

WHAT: Teaser Trailer/Promotional Video for Feature Film WITH YOU. Extras will be walking as pedestrians on the bridge, primarily as couples. ALL REAL LIFE COUPLES ARE WELCOME. Those individuals coming out will be paired up with a partner to walk with on the bridge.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (SBA) The U.S. Small Business Administration Arkansas District Office is seeking successful and inspiring entrepreneurs to represent Arkansas during SBA’s 2014 Small Business Week.  Nominations are due January 17, 2014.

“This is the time to honor an outstanding entrepreneur in your area.  Small business owners are so important to the strength of our country, and these awards provide an opportunity to celebrate their success,” said Yolanda Garcia Olivarez, SBA Regional Administrator.  Olivarez heads Region VI which serves more than 3.3 million entrepreneurs in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.  “Each day these men and women overcome obstacles with creativity and perseverance, and help create jobs for themselves and others.”

City of Bryant names new director of finance

City of Bryant names new director of finance

BRYANT, Ark. (City of Bryant) - The City of Bryant has named Dennis Edwards as the new Director of Finance on October 13th, 2013.

Dennis was born in Little Rock and raised in Benton. After his graduation from Benton High School, Dennis attended the University of Arkansas in Little Rock where he graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration.

Following graduation from the UALR Dennis began his career with the Benton Savings and Loan Association where he gained experience through several roles. First as a Financial Accountant, and Manager of Data Processing and then onto a Managing Officer before leaving the company.

Dennis then spent twenty years as the Financial/Data Processing Manager for Thomas Real Estate and Insurance Company in Benton where he managed and ran operation of the entire financial and technology systems for the business along with various other roles.

Arkansas Department of Career Education to host expo and job fair

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (ACE) - An expo and job fair is coming up soon in Hot Springs.

The Arkansas Department of Career Education (ACE) will host a FREE expo and job fair to showcase Arkansas Rehabilitation Services, Career and Technical Education, Adult Education, and local employers. The event is Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm  at the Hot Springs Boys and Girls Club on 109 West Belding Street.

The expo and job fair will provide free information on training, services, educational opportunities and jobs available to Arkansans.  Free hot dogs, drinks, door prizes, and more will be provided.
