BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) – A Benton woman has been arrested for allegedly forging prescriptions at a pharmacy.

Camila Cristina Cardenas, 26, faces three counts of class C felony second degree forgery, two counts of class D felony possession of a controlled substance and two counts of class C felony controlled substance fraudulent practices.

On Monday morning, officers with the Benton Police Department responded to the West Side Pharmacy in Benton in reference to a woman attempting to fill a forged prescription.

Pharmacy employees told officers that Cardenas was in the store attempting to fill a prescription for 90 Oxycodone and it was verified that the prescription was forged.

Officers seized an alleged forged prescription, five blank scripts and five used syringes from a purse belonging to Cardenas. Officers also retrieved three suspected forged prescriptions from West Side Pharmacy.
