Roller Coaster Race Coming to Magic Springs on Oct. 17

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Roller Coaster Race announced that registration is now open for its original-concept race coming to Magic Springs in Hot Springs, Ark. on Saturday, October 17.

The race takes place on the second weekend of “Magic Screams,” the park’s Halloween-themed event, and marks Roller Coaster Race’s sixth and final event of its 2015 season.

Magic Springs presents first Hispanic headliner on September 6

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -  Magic Springs Water & Theme Park will present its first Hispanic headliner during a summer concert in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month. On Sunday, September 6 the accordion musical act “Los Invasores de Nuevo Leon,” one the most popular norteño groups, is set to perform live at the Timberwood Amphitheater.

“We’re excited to present “Los Invasores de Nuevo Leon,” in addition to an opportunity for hundreds of families to explore all our water and theme park has to offer. We’ll have dancers, Mariachi Band and other special activities to kick-off Hispanic Heritage Month,” says Steve Honeycutt, General Manager of Magic Springs. “For one special price Arkansans and visitors can enjoy both parks and watch as the band transforms the stage into a grand fiesta in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.”

BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) - A coffee business in Bryant is showing their appreciation to law enforcement by providing free coffee to any cop that makes a stop by their shop on Friday. 

Koffee with a Kause is an establishment located at 23219 Interstate 30 in Bryant, Ark. that provides drive-thru coffee service, and 10 percent of their profits go towards charities in the Bryant community. 

To give thanks to law enforcement in the area, they have decided to provide a free cup of Joe to any officer in need on Friday, September 4.

Bryant Chamber hosts 28th Annual Fall Fest

BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) - Plans for the 28th Annual Fall Fest at Bishop Park are in full swing. 

The Bryant Chamber Commerce has set the festival to be on Saturday, September 26, festivities beginning at 7 a.m.

There will be a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned competition, a backyard barbecue competition and an accompanying beer garden. $7,500 in prize money will be awarded in the KCBS event.

Arkansas Craft Distributing will consist of craft beers from Summit and Oskar Blues. 

The event committee is also excited to announce the addition of a human Bubble Ball area, sponsored by GracePoint Church, and a human Foosball area provided by the City of Bryant.  Fall Fest is presented by Landers of Saline County.

Los Lonely Boys, Keb' Mo' to headline Hot Springs Blues and BBQ Festival

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Hot Springs Blues & BBQ Festival, presented by Budweiser, will be headlined by the Los Lonely Boys Saturday, Sept. 19 and Keb’ Mo’ Sunday, Sept. 20. The event, hosted jointly by Oaklawn and the Spa City Blues Society, will take place in Oaklawn’s infield, and will also feature some of the region’s best barbeque.

“We are very excited to bring the Los Lonely Boys and Keb’ Mo’ to Hot Springs,” said Rob Pratt, President of the Spa City Blues Society. “Partnering with Oaklawn has really allowed us to take this event to a whole new level.”

August is Hero Appreciation Month

Magic Springs Water and Theme Park will honor active and retired military, law enforcement, fire fighters and emergency medical technicians with free admission throughout the month of August. Official identification is required for free admission.
