HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Loverboy and Lita Ford will take the stage on Saturday, July 25 at Magic Springs’ Timberwood Amphitheater in Hot Springs. The show begins at 8 p.m.

LOVERBOY

Loverboy is a Canadian rock group who accumulated numerous hit songs, earning four multi-platinum albums and selling millions of records.

The band's hit singles, particularly "Turn Me Loose" and "Working for the Weekend," have become arena rock staples and are heard on classic rock and classic hits radio stations  today. They are currently based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Month long railroad safety initiative in central Arkansas

BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - Members of Central Arkansas Operation Impact Traffic Enforcement Group will conduct a month long traffic initiative focusing on railroad crossing safety and pedestrians trespassing on railroad property in August. 

According to national non-profit organization Operation Lifesaver, a vehicle or person is hit by a train every three hours in the U.S. Arkansas was ranked number 15 in a list of states that have the highest percentage of rail grade collisions in the United States. These same statistics show that 73 percent of all highway-rail crossing fatalities for 2014 occurred in just 15 states, again with Arkansas in the list ranked at 14. 

For the month of August, officials will be enforcing the rules regarding railroad safety. Lt. Curtis Wood with Central Arkansas Operation Impact Traffic Enforcement stated that anyone who tries to risk their life trying to beat an approaching train they will be cited.

Holmes to return home for Little Rock Fashion Week

Little Rock, Ark. – Since 2009 Brandon D. Campbell has been producing Little Rock Fashion Week (LRFW), and this year will be unlike any other experience.

July 13-July 18 will be a week filled with memorable fashion moments. On July 18, LRFW will hold its BIG Night exclusive fashion event on the fourth block of Main Street in downtown Little Rock. It will mark the return of Little Rock’s very own TV news personality Keristen Holmes as the show host.

“I couldn’t be more excited to go back home to host LRFW Big Night”, says Holmes. Holmes, a local southern news anchor, is how one would describe her, “I’m just a girl from Pike who made it.”

Holmes is a North Little Rock native. Holmes states, “As a high school student, I was involved in every activity from cheerleading to competitive speech.” At North Little Rock High she was her own renaissance woman in the making.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (Magic Springs) - Sidewalk Prophets and Newsong will perform Friday, July 10, and Newsboys will take the stage Saturday, July 11, at Magic Springs’ Timberwood Amphitheater in Hot Springs. The shows begins at 8 p.m.

Sidewalk Prophets is a contemporary Christian music band from Nashville, Tennessee. Their album “These Simple Truths” contained the single "The Words I Would Say", which is also featured on WOW Hits 2010 and WOW Hits 2011. The group won the 2010 GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year.

Newsong is an American contemporary Christian music group founded in 1981, at Morningside Baptist Church in Valdosta, Georgia. They have had eight GMA Dove Award nominations. They are the founders of the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, the United States' largest annual Christian music tour.

The Charlie Daniels Band to celebrate July 4 at Magic Springs

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Southern country legend Charlie Daniels will be celebrating the Fourth of July with his band at Magic Springs’ Timberwood Amphitheater in Hot Springs. 

Performances will begin at 3 p.m. with country singer Blane Howard followed by Hot Springs native Aaron Owens at 7 p.m., leaving the Charlie Daniels Band at 8 p.m.

Charles Edward "Charlie" Daniels is an American musician, singer and songwriter known for his contributions to country and southern rock music. He is best known for his No. 1 country hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" and “The South’s Gonna Do It Again.” He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008 and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009. Daniels won the Grammy Award for Best Country Vocal Performance for "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," which reached No. 3 on the Hot 100.
