BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - The Benton Police Department responded to an alleged vehicle break-in early Saturday morning.

At 4 a.m., Dec. 26, police received a call about suspects fleeing the area of Hurricane Lake Estates after allegedly trying to break into a vehicle in the neighborhood. During the course of their investigation, officers and detectives obtained information that appeared to link Kenneth Allison, 25, to a vehicle breaking or entering.

An officer with the Bryant Police Department located Allison and pulled him over. He was found to be in possession of a prohibited weapon (brass knuckles), suspected Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Allison was transported to the Saline County Detention Facility for processing without incident. He is charged with Breaking or Entering, Criminal Use of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

After further investigation, detectives believed another suspect was also involved with the alleged vehicle break-in. Matthew Trice, 32, is suspected of assisting Allison. An arrest warrant has been issued for Trice for Breaking or Entering, Theft of Property, and Criminal Trespassing.
