BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - A Benton man faces multiple charges after allegedly waving a gun at residents located in the 1500 block of Bradbury Street on Tuesday.

At 12:09 p.m., Dec. 29, Benton police responded to a residence located off Bradbury Street regarding a disturbance involving a weapon. When officers arrived, four witnesses claimed that 62-year-old Carl D. King, Jr. had come into the home waving around a weapon, asking them to leave. The witnesses left the home and immediately called police.

According to King, he did enter the home and ask them to leave, but he did not have a weapon on him. While he was being taken into custody, police stated that he had what was believed to be marijuana and a pipe in his possession.

King is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and four counts of aggravated assault.
