2015 Toy Troopers Toy Drive

BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) - The 15th Annual Toy Troopers Toy Drive season kicks off with the Inaugural Toy Trooper’s Banquet on November 12 at Bishop Park, located at 6401 Boone Road in Bryant.

The event starts with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by a fine dining experience at 7 p.m., provided by Bistro’s Catering and Gourmet Take Away. The evening events will also include musical entertainment, with Chris Wyatt, DJ Raquel, and The Arkansas All Star Band, featuring “Sally Howell” and special guest, Arkansas’ own Michael “Roosterboy “ Shipp.

The event will also have a silent auction.

The season will continue with the 15th Annual Toy Troopers Toy Drive December 11, 12, and 13, at the Wal-Mart parking lot in Bryant.

The weekend event kicks off live on “The Show with No Name’ featuring Tommy Smith, David Bazzel, and Roger Scott, of 103.7 “The Buzz” Radio.  at 6 a.m. on Friday, December 11.  It will also be featured live on the “Dave Elswick Show” on 96.5FM “The Answer”. Both shows will broadcast live from the event at the Wal-Mart parking lot. All benefits go to the kids and families of Saline County by providing toys to the kids in need on Christmas morning.

Toy Trooper’s Winter Wonderland will be located at the Bryant Wal–Mart Supercenter.  Bring your kids to drop off a new toy or a monetary donation to help make sure each child opens a gift on Christmas morning. It’s a fun way to teach your children that the “joy of giving” is much greater than the “gift of receiving”.

There will be free bounce houses in the kid’s play area, free Chick-fil-A and free drinks for those making donations.  Santa Claus will be there on Saturday and Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to take pictures with your kids and find out what your kids want for Christmas.

Chick-Fil-A, Reynolds Road will host two special events this year to benefit Toy Troopers; the “Cookies and Cows” promotion will run again this year, beginning November 27 and running through December 9.  All proceeds from the sale of these Items will be pledged to Toy Troopers. They will also host a Spirit day on December 10, with a portion of all sales to benefit The 2015 Toy Troopers Toy Drive.  So “Eat More Chicken” and help Toy Trooper’s reach its annual goals.

Each year with the help of the volunteers and the people of our community, Toy Trooper’s provides toys to over a thousand local kids in need of Christmas cheer.  If you need help providing Christmas for your family this year, please contact CJOHN’s and register to benefit from this community event. Toy Trooper’s is a community based volunteer organization and a 501c3 nonprofit, donations are tax deductible.

Table and ticket information will be available by contacting a Toy Trooper representative directly at (501) 529-1700.
