The Personnel Committee is scheduled to meet Monday, March 4 in the Mayor’s Conference Room at the Benton Municipal Complex immediately following the Finance Committee Meeting, which is set for 6:00 PM, to discuss the improvement of dispatchers' pay scale.

City of Bryant welcomes new Water/Wastewater Committee Members

BRYANT, Ark. – Three new members have been appointed to the Bryant Water/Wastewater Committee and one member Linda Levart reappointed to an open seat in Ward 3 position 1.

The new members, Wade Boone, Ward 4 position 1, Jack Moseley, Ward 4 position 2, and Seth Yancey, Ward 1 position 2 bring a wealth of combined expertise in engineering, historical knowledge of Bryant, commitment to community and a willingness to serve.

The Bryant Water/Wastewater Committee plays an advisory role to the Water/Wastewater Department to ensure that the highest quality water and wastewater services are provided to the public while balancing our efforts to maintain a cost effective operation and provide our services in an environmentally and fiscally responsible manner.

These new members were chosen through an open application process that was advertised locally, on social media, and on the city website www.cityofbryant.com

The Benton City Council Agenda Meeting is set for 6:15 PM, Monday, February 11, 2013 in the Mayor's Conference Room at the Benton Municipal Complex and will be followed by the Benton City Council Meeting at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers. The agenda includes discussing the city website, emergency declarations, personnel policies and other issues.

Dabbs makes appointments

Mayor Jill Dabbs has announced the council liaison and committee appointments for the 2013 year for the City of Bryant. The Mayor started the new year off with appointments made to the Finance and Personnel Committee. They are as follows:

Alderman Michael Chandler
Alderman Randy Cox
Alderman Brenda Miller
Alderman Rob Roedel

In addition to the appointments for Finance and Personnel Committee, Mayor Dabbs has reappointed Alderman Steve Gladden to serve as council liasion to Public Safety. Alderman Adrian Henley has been appointed to serve as liaison to the Streets Committee. Alderman Roedel has been named to serve as council liaison to the Planning Commission. Alderman Chandler has been appointed to serve as liaison to the Water Committee. Alderman Randy Cox was appointed as council liaison to Parks and Recreation Committee.

The Liaisons are key to the smooth operation of council and creating clear communication between the committees and the council.
